• Reviews, ratings, comments, and photos you submit

• Saved favorites, search history, and preference selections

We may also collect certain information automatically when you use the service:

• Location data, when you grant permission
• Usage data such as features used, screens visited, and searches performed
• Crash and diagnostic logs

2. How we use information

• To provide and improve the app and website
• To show nearby places and distance-based recommendations
• To process reviews, photos, and comments
• To respond to support requests and issue reports
• To analyze usage and improve reliability and product quality
• To protect the service from fraud, abuse, and unlawful activity

3. Analytics and tracking

ZimPlaces uses Firebase Analytics with consent controls in the app. Analytics is opt-in through the privacy settings. When analytics is disabled, we do not intentionally send usage events.

We also request location permission only when needed for nearby search and map features.

4. Location data

If you allow location access, we use it to show nearby places, calculate distances, and help with directions. You can disable location access in your device settings or in the app's privacy settings, though some features may not work as intended.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers that help operate the app, website, and backend systems
• Public viewers of content you choose to post, such as reviews and photos
• Authorities or other parties when required by law or to protect rights and safety

6. Retention and deletion

We keep data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion at any time from the app or by using the website's account deletion page.

After a deletion request, your account is scheduled for permanent deletion. Reviews are anonymized immediately and the account may be reactivated within the stated grace period if your backend supports reactivation.

7. Your rights

• Access a copy of your data
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and personal data
• Request portability where applicable
• Object to certain processing where applicable

8. Children

The service is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.
